A Timely Introduction

I have wanted to embark on this adventure for a long time. To share my hobbies, my stories and my misadventures on a bigger scale.

My passion for Art

From a young age, I have always had a passion for all things artsy. From making my own fantasy costumes for elaborate games of imagination and fantasy; to designing my own fashions in a bedroom my mother lovingly set up as a fashion boutique, art has always been my passion.

As a young girl my Grandmother instilled a love for my favorite of all the arts and crafts I had ever tried. Crochet. Now, teaching a 8 year old crochet may not sound like a difficult process, but you would be very wrong in thinking that. My left handed self struggled to figure out how to hold the hook. Led by the ever patient instruction of my grandmother she painstakingly taught me the basic stitches, holding my hands and trying to show me how to properly keep gauge. She was very persistent that gauge came first. Before a single crochet could happen she made sure that I crocheted an obscenely long rope of chain stitches. Oh how proud I was of that “rope” I showed it off as if it was a billion dollar piece of art. After that moment the spark was kindled, I knew crochet was my favorite artistic medium.

The goal of this Blog is to share my passion for Crochet as well as other hobbies and my misadventures in motherhood. It is meant to be a place where you can sit back, grab a cup of coffee, laugh and relax; Or grab your crochet hook and make something special.
